DVG recently partnered with Elon University in North Carolina for the design build of its new state-of-the-art HD television studio complex located in the McEwen Communications Building. Two control rooms were built to share two adjacent studios. Each control room consists of a Ross Carbonite Black production switcher, router and Xpression graphics workstation. Wheatstone digital audio consoles were installed for audio mixing with Sennheiser wireless systems for talent through a WheatNet audio-over-IP network. Studio and control room communications and IFB were provided by a Clear-Com Eclipse Matrix Intercom. An Avid NEXIS SAN was installed for post-production, centralized storage and playout. Ross Inception News was installed to handle program editorial functions such as scriptwriting, teleprompting and publishing of social media content.
