DVG provided the design build provided for Defense Media Activity, Fort Meade, Maryland. The project included the design, engineering, and commissioning for the UHD upgrade of two of the facility’s video studio and control room systems. Each system consisted of four Hitachi SK-UHD7000 cameras with Fujinon UHD lenses, CueScript 19” prompters and software, a Ross Carbonite Ultra production switcher, a Ross Ultrix 128×128 UHD routing switcher and multiviewer with UHD patch panels, a Ross UHD Xpression character generator, a Ross Tria+ UHD vid server, Evertz reference generators, AJA KiPro Ultra12G recorders, Leader waveform monitors, Sony UHD monitors, and AJA FS4 frame synchronizers / converters.
The master control upgrade supported two playout channels and included a Ross Ultrix routing switcher and multiviewer, two Ross MC1 master control switchers, a multiple channel Ross Xpression character generator, a Ross four channel Tria+ Video server, Leader test and measurement, and AJA digital disk recorders.
