DVG partnered with High Point University to provide the design-build for the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication’s television production facility. The studio build out included Hitachi Z-HD6000 HD studio cameras with Fujinon Lenses and CueScript teleprompters mounted on Cartoni pedestals. The video production control room and technical core included a Ross Carbonite Black Plus 2 ME HD production switcher, Ross Xpression Graphics, Ross Xpression Clip server, and Ross 72×72 video router. All sources were fed to NEC 65” LED Monitors for Multiview display. Audio mixing is performed on a Yamaha QL1 console with digital AES and analog I/O. Ross, AJA and Ensemble Designs terminal equipment was used for conversion and distribution. Communications between the control room and the studio are provided by a ClearCom Encore intercom system and IFB. To allow for call in interviews via Skype a NewTek TalkShow system was also installed.
